TB Woods Dura-Flex® Couplings
Fatigue occurs when a coupling is subjected to repeated loading and unloading, like the stopping and starting of a pump. Test results showed that Dura-Flex couplings outlasted all competitor brands during a Fatigue Test (2 weeks, 180°F, H20 vapor). The patented Dura-Flex design utilizes a polyether element material that provides longer service life compared to polyester materials used by others.
Lower torsional stiffness provides reduced vibration and isolation resulting in enhanced protection of connected equipment.
Highly flexible Dura-Flex elastomer couplings optimize torque transmission, while minimizing parallel, angular, axial stiffness and vibration to prevent damage to connected equipment.
Dura-Flex coupling’s “split-in-half” element design allows for easy element installation/replacement without moving connected equipment or disturbing the shaft connection. Spacer design can accommodate a large range of shaft spacing with few parts. Dura-Flex couplings are part-for-part interchangeable with the industry standard design.
